Item Emergency locations problem with stochastic parameters(UNIV WEST BOHEMIA,CESKE BUDEJOVICE, 2010) Tharwat, Assem A.; El-Khodary, Ihab A. F.; Hassan, Emad El-Din H.The problem of determining the optimum locations for the emergency facility services in the case in which three possible routes between every pair of customer and service center was discussed in Tharwat and Hassan (2007) and Tharwat, Alkhodary, and Hassan (to appear) assuming deterministic values for the parameters of the problem. In this paper we introduce a description and solution. algorithm for this problem focusing on the case in which the values of the spatial separations among the service centers and the customers are not deterministic but stochastic. The introduced solution is depending on hybridizing Monte-Carlo Simulation technique with Max-Separable optimization technique.Item CONSUMER PERCEPTION OF SUSTAINABLE SHOPPING BAGS AND ITS EFFECT ON THEIR PURCHASE INTENTION:(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Halim, Hazem Tawfik; Halim, Yasser Tawfik; El Sheikh, Samia Adlythe paper aims to study the relationship between environmental concerns and subjective norms on consumers' perception towards green product and the factors that influences people's intention towards using them, especially sustainable shopping bag using survey data from 453 respondents. The study uses Chi-square test via Kruskal-Walis test to determine if the hypotheses were accepted or rejected. The existence of the relationship between variables was proven via the measuring of Spearman Correlation. The research indicated that there is a positive relationship between environmental concerns and consumers’ perception of green products. Finally, the results show there is a confident relationship between the consumer’s perception towards green products and purchase intention of green products. Based on the research findings, policy implications and suggestions to further promote shopping bags are discussed.Item DRIVING MARKET FORCES FOR COVID-19 VACCINES INDUSTRY:(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Mohamed, Amr Mohamaden Abdelkader; Abdelaziz, Shaimaa N.In order to identify the fundamental economic reasons for market behaviour, this study offers a market analysis that serves as a diagnostic process.Comirnaty, a COVID-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer, has been a significant player in the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic. We studied the Comirnaty vaccine’s demand, supply, demand and supply elasticity and the strategic analysis that consisted of SWOT analysis and PESTEL analysis. Several factors, including the global spread pattern of COVID-19, the vaccine’s effectiveness, and the availability of alternative vaccines, drive the demand for Comirnaty. The supply of Comirnaty is influenced by factors such as manufacturing capacity and the development of new vaccines. The elasticity of demand for Comirnaty is high, with a significant increase in demand at lower prices and a decrease in demand at higher prices. Overall, the market for Comirnaty is complex and dynamic, with demand and supply being influenced by various factors. We expect a dramatic change in the market forces after the announced commercialisation of Comirnaty directly to the end consumer in the USA.Item WATER SCARCITY IN THE CONTEXT OF CHINA(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Gamil, Amal; Abdelrashied, MahmoudIrrigated agriculture is crucial to China's food production, but it is in danger due to the country's growing water shortage. As a result, the main objective of this research is to improve knowledge of the evolving patterns in the balance between water supply and demand, their effects on food output, and governmental policy reactions. The environmental change increased water shortage in various river basins in northern China, which led to a decrease in irrigated land. decreased food production and regions. The study shows that China's water shortage is a regional problem, particularly in the north. Here restricted and unequal access to water resources, a drop in surface water supplies, and depletion are all examples of this deterioration of water quality, depletion of groundwater supplies, and rising water consumption. As a result, the Chinese government has attempted to regulate overall water consumption. extraction, increase water use effectiveness and reduce pollutants in the water. Although these legislative measures are encouraging, their efficiency in addressing China's growing water shortage needs to be investigated.Item EMERGENCY LOCATIONS PROBLEMS WITH STOCHASTIC PARAMETERS(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Tharwat, Assem A.; El-Khodary, Ihab A. Also, there is a neutral perception of parents of the changes undertaken in governmental elementary and pre-elementary levels. Finally, the results indicated that curriculum doesn’t affect parents’ perception of educational quality more than any other changes, and the highest factor affecting the perception is the qualification of teachers. Based on the research findings, managerial implications and suggestions for further research are discussed.Item ECONOMIC GROWTH, BILATERAL TRADE AND TRADE EMBODIED PM2.5 EMISSIONS IN INDIA AND BANGLADESH(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Khandelwal, Mansi; Das, Sukanya; Narayanan, BadriNot all that is produced is consumed by the country a major part of produced goods and services account for exports. In today’s world of globalization volumes of export and import are increasing and so is the emission from production and consumption. So, with exports and imports of goods and services, indirect emissions are also traded by being embodied in the goods and services. Production-based and consumption-based accounting approaches are two different approaches to measuring emissions produced. Using PBA, developed countries can transfer the burden of emissions to developing nations, but CBA measures the emissions based on consumption. The study investigates the impact of the rise in investment in India (and Bangladesh) on PM2.5 emissions being produced in Bangladesh (and India) via international trade and quantifies it. Bangladesh is about to graduate from LDC status, which means that high tariffs are being imposed on Bangladeshi goods, an attempt is made to study the impact of the rise in tariffs on PM2.5 emissions produced and quantifies the change. The results indicate that with tariffs being imposed emissions fall in the case of the EU, Japan, and Oceania but not true with the US. Some policy implications are suggested on the sameItem LIQUIDITY, ASSET UTILIZATION, DEBT RATIO AND FIRM PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM EGYPT(October university for modern sciences and Arts (MSA), 2022-12) Ismail, Tariq Hassanin; El-Deeb, Mohamed Samy; Rezk, Rana Ahmed; Hemat, AnasHow well firms handle liquidity and asset utilization determines their development, performance, and survival. Different liquidity and asset utilization methods impact firms' bottom lines. While most studies have studied the influence of liquidity and asset utilization on performance independently, this research tests both factors using debt ratio as a mediating variable. The investigation used secondary data from 50 Egyptian listed firms' annual reports from 2019-2021. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression. The study indicated that using tangible assets and current assets (liquidity) affected corporate performance. The debt ratio does not affect asset utilization, liquidity, and company performance. This study may assist management and financial experts in examining the company's growth characteristics, liquidity and asset utilization, business risk, and financial performance to anticipate its future worth.Item THE IMPACT OF OIL SPILLS ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES: CASE OF SPAIN AND BRAZIL(October university for modern sciences and Arts (MSA), 2022-12) Salem, Haykel Hadj; Tamer, NourMarine oil spills have been of tremendous concern due to their adverse impact on economic and ecological systems.
