Item CAUSAL LINKS BETWEEN ICT, HDI, AND ECONOMIC GROWTH: EVIDENCE FROM MENA(October university for modern sciences and Arts (MSA), 2022-12) Eldesouki, Ehab; Yasser, MaiThis paper examines the causal links between ICT, HDI, and economic growth in the MENA region's high-income, middle-income, and low-income countries from 2002 to 2019. These panel data will be studied by using several tests such as the unit root test, Pedroni cointegration test, Kao cointegration test, and ECM test. This link will put a great load on the governments to invest more in both human capital and ICT infrastructure. This policy should be applied in both the short and long run to enhance sustainable growth and development. Therefore 17 countries were chosen from MENA depending on six variables depending on the panel ECM test. This paper ends with the significance of ICT and economic growth in the MENA region in the both short run and long run. Also, this result applies to all countries in the region whether with high-income or middle-income, or low-income countries. Also, these results show some bidirectional or unidirectional between these variables that differ according to the income level of the country.Item CONSUMER PERCEPTION OF SUSTAINABLE SHOPPING BAGS AND ITS EFFECT ON THEIR PURCHASE INTENTION:(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Halim, Hazem Tawfik; Halim, Yasser Tawfik; El Sheikh, Samia Adlythe paper aims to study the relationship between environmental concerns and subjective norms on consumers' perception towards green product and the factors that influences people's intention towards using them, especially sustainable shopping bag using survey data from 453 respondents. The study uses Chi-square test via Kruskal-Walis test to determine if the hypotheses were accepted or rejected. The existence of the relationship between variables was proven via the measuring of Spearman Correlation. The research indicated that there is a positive relationship between environmental concerns and consumers’ perception of green products. Finally, the results show there is a confident relationship between the consumer’s perception towards green products and purchase intention of green products. Based on the research findings, policy implications and suggestions to further promote shopping bags are discussed.Item DRIVING MARKET FORCES FOR COVID-19 VACCINES INDUSTRY:(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Mohamed, Amr Mohamaden Abdelkader; Abdelaziz, Shaimaa N.In order to identify the fundamental economic reasons for market behaviour, this study offers a market analysis that serves as a diagnostic process.Comirnaty, a COVID-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer, has been a significant player in the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic. We studied the Comirnaty vaccine’s demand, supply, demand and supply elasticity and the strategic analysis that consisted of SWOT analysis and PESTEL analysis. Several factors, including the global spread pattern of COVID-19, the vaccine’s effectiveness, and the availability of alternative vaccines, drive the demand for Comirnaty. The supply of Comirnaty is influenced by factors such as manufacturing capacity and the development of new vaccines. The elasticity of demand for Comirnaty is high, with a significant increase in demand at lower prices and a decrease in demand at higher prices. Overall, the market for Comirnaty is complex and dynamic, with demand and supply being influenced by various factors. We expect a dramatic change in the market forces after the announced commercialisation of Comirnaty directly to the end consumer in the USA.Item Emergency locations problem with stochastic parameters(UNIV WEST BOHEMIA,CESKE BUDEJOVICE, 2010) Tharwat, Assem A.; El-Khodary, Ihab A. F.; Hassan, Emad El-Din H.The problem of determining the optimum locations for the emergency facility services in the case in which three possible routes between every pair of customer and service center was discussed in Tharwat and Hassan (2007) and Tharwat, Alkhodary, and Hassan (to appear) assuming deterministic values for the parameters of the problem. In this paper we introduce a description and solution. algorithm for this problem focusing on the case in which the values of the spatial separations among the service centers and the customers are not deterministic but stochastic. The introduced solution is depending on hybridizing Monte-Carlo Simulation technique with Max-Separable optimization technique.Item EMERGENCY LOCATIONS PROBLEMS WITH STOCHASTIC PARAMETERS(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Tharwat, Assem A.; El-Khodary, Ihab A. Additionally, it seeks to explore the mediating role of resilience in this relationship. The research adopts a quantitative research approach , using a survey questionnaire to gather data from a group of students studying Business Administration.. Validated scales are used to assess self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions. The primary results of the research indicate that students with elevated self-efficacy levels are more inclined to possess more robust entrepreneurial intentions.. However, this relationship is partially moderated by resilience. Students who demonstrate higher levels of resilience tend to translate their self-efficacy beliefs into more concrete entrepreneurial intentions. These findings suggest that both self-efficacy and resilience play crucial roles in influencing students' entrepreneurial mindset and readiness to engage in entrepreneurial activities. This study adds to the current knowledge by investigating how resilience mediates the link between self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions. The findings provide valuable insights for educational institutions and policymakers in designing effective entrepreneurship education programs to foster entrepreneurial mindsets among students, thus promoting economic progress and innovation. By understanding the factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions, stakeholders can implement targeted strategies to support aspiring entrepreneurs effectively.Item THE IMPACT OF ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT DISCLOSURE AND FIRM VALUE IN EGYPTIAN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS:(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Abdel-Azim, Mohamed Hassan; Fekry, Mostafa Abdelrahman; Abdelmoneim, ZakiaThe main objective of this research is to investigate the relationship between enterprise risk management (ERM), risk disclosure and firm value. The research aims to compare the public and private sectors in Egypt. The sample consists of 30 non-financial public companies and 30 non-financial private companies within the period 2011 to 2021. The results indicated an insignificant positive relationship between ERM and firm value for both the public and private sectors. The results found a significant positive relationship for the private sector and a significant positive relationship between ERM and risk disclosure for the public sector sample. The results show preferable values for private than public for the variables; ERM and risk disclosure score. That means that the private sector companies give more consideration to the ERM and risk disclosure than the public sectorItem THE IMPACT OF NETFLIX’S CONTROVERSIAL AND ILLICIT CONTENT ON CHANGING USERS ’ ATTITUDES IN EGYPT(October university for modern sciences and Arts (MSA), 2022-12) Marzouk, Wafaa Galal; Halim, Yasser Tawfik; El Sheikh, Samia Adlythe paper aims to study the relationship between the impact of Netflix’s controversial and illicit content on changing users ’attitudes in Egypt. The researchers used the non-probability sampling technique. Based on survey data from 331 online respondents, the results were analyzed by the researchers via descriptive analysis. In addition, Chi-square test via Kruskal-Walis test was implemented to determine if the hypotheses were accepted or rejected. The existence of the relationship between variables was proven via the measuring of Spearman Correlation. Major oil spills triggered worldwide consciousness of marine spill response. In past decades, significant advances have been made in diverse aspects including prevention and preparedness, spill response and cleanup options, modelling of marine oil spills, and response decision support. Risk aversion was always a problem in the oil and gas business, but it has never been more serious. However, challenges remain particularly associated with cold and harsh environmental conditions. The research paper will explore how oil spills influence the environment and surrounding communities, as well as how this catastrophic issue causes the death of most marine species and threatens the sustainability of countries, with a focus on the Prestige and Northeast Brazil oil spills. The paper urges more organizations is needed to follow accessible standards to improve their operating performance and overcome technical uncertainty. Oil and gas companies collaborate with their peers to build transparent platforms that guarantee that automated production projects can be carried out at low cost and with relatively little interruption.Item LIQUIDITY, ASSET UTILIZATION, DEBT RATIO AND FIRM PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM EGYPT(October university for modern sciences and Arts (MSA), 2022-12) Ismail, Tariq Hassanin; El-Deeb, Mohamed Samy; Rezk, Rana Ahmed; Hemat, AnasHow well firms handle liquidity and asset utilization determines their development, performance, and survival. Different liquidity and asset utilization methods impact firms' bottom lines. While most studies have studied the influence of liquidity and asset utilization on performance independently, this research tests both factors using debt ratio as a mediating variable. The investigation used secondary data from 50 Egyptian listed firms' annual reports from 2019-2021. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression. The study indicated that using tangible assets and current assets (liquidity) affected corporate performance. The debt ratio does not affect asset utilization, liquidity, and company performance. This study may assist management and financial experts in examining the company's growth characteristics, liquidity and asset utilization, business risk, and financial performance to anticipate its future worth.Item WATER SCARCITY IN THE CONTEXT OF CHINA(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Gamil, Amal; Abdelrashied, MahmoudIrrigated agriculture is crucial to China's food production, but it is in danger due to the country's growing water shortage. As a result, the main objective of this research is to improve knowledge of the evolving patterns in the balance between water supply and demand, their effects on food output, and governmental policy reactions. The environmental change increased water shortage in various river basins in northern China, which led to a decrease in irrigated land. decreased food production and regions. The study shows that China's water shortage is a regional problem, particularly in the north. Here restricted and unequal access to water resources, a drop in surface water supplies, and depletion are all examples of this deterioration of water quality, depletion of groundwater supplies, and rising water consumption. As a result, the Chinese government has attempted to regulate overall water consumption. extraction, increase water use effectiveness and reduce pollutants in the water. Although these legislative measures are encouraging, their efficiency in addressing China's growing water shortage needs to be investigated.Item WATER, WHEAT, AND WAR NEXUS(October university for modern sciences and Arts (MSA), 2022-12) Abdou, Doaa; EHAB, HEBA; AMER, SHERIFThe purpose of this study is to analyse the nexus between water, wheat and war in Egypt. Currently, the obstructed diffusion of the wheat market in Egypt prevents it from acquiring its fair share among other countries in terms of production versus its consumption. Water and Wheat self- sufficiency, on the other hand, looks to be a pipe dream that will take a long time to materialise. The study presents the market volume, share, and segments locally in the global market lighting. Then, outline the supply and demand factors while measuring the price elasticity of its supply and demand curve. To ensure a comprehensive contextual analysis, the paper will use the top-bottom analysis approach. This framework helps to discover the primary factors causing the problems faced by the research at hand. This resulted in detecting the regulations, tactics, moves, and facilities provided to the wheat sector by the Egyptian Government while taking into consideration the global impact of the Russian –Ukraine War.
