Item Measuring the impact of background music on millennial consumer’s eating behavior : An experimental study(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2018) Ahmed Essam, Mohamed; Emad El-Shafie, Omar; Mohamed Sayed, Waleed; Gamal, YoustinaThe atmospheric effects of music were tested in a restaurant setting. Four conditions were applied in a type of between groups design with eating behavior as dependent variables. The five conditions related, volume (high & low), tempo (high & low), and the absence of any music. The findings showed that only high tempo did not have a significant effect on eating behavior, and that low volume showed the most significant and the best results for restaurants although an additional finding was that the presence of music of any type significantly affected eating behavior when compared to the absence of music. To explain the findings and the difference between the literatures and this experiment an additional dimension of music, which is genre, is thought to be the reason, which is what this study recommends future research on.Item National Hospitals System(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2018) Nabil Eid, AhmedSystem to build up a Health insurance system. The data was collected from the construction sector with selected five companies listed in the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) which are Orascom, Palm Hills, Amer, Emmar, and Sodic, for the year ranging from 2013 to 2017. We measured the corporate governance with number of board of directors, Audit type, and CEO duality, and measuring the Future Cash Flow with Barth Model. The analysis was made in descriptive, correlation, and regression analysis using SPSS. The results shows that there’s a positive insignificant relationship between corporate governance and future cash flow. The limitation of this research was, firstly the size of the sample was not enough to generalize the results, secondly that the country used in the research is suffering an economic instability which leads its economy to have currency fluctuations and high inflation rate, thirdly and last that corporate governance is not the only variable that affect future cash flow therefore the next researches should take into consideration other variables. Item The Impact of Intellectual Capital on Financial Sustainability(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Karam, Yasmine; Abdallah, Zeinab; Ahmed Taha, Ingy; Samy, Madonna; Hussein, MennatullahThe main objective of this paper is to examine the impact of Intellectual Capital on Financial sustainability and how the company can grow by this relationship. This research is explaining this role by measurable, descriptive and tested study as it built by pervious theories of knowledge management, finance and accounting. The measurements of intellectual capital which are the percentage of intellectual capital from total assets and the measurements of financial sustainability which are operating expenses ratio. Different measure have been used for financial sustainability as ROA, ROE, leverage, and firm size, as well as, the measures used for intellectual capital were Percentage of Intellectual capital from total assets and Total Investment on employees. Methodology of this research consists of a quantitative method as the data have been gathered from the financial statements of a 5 firms in Real Estate Sector Index listed in the Egyptian stock exchange. The results of our models which are simple regression and Pearson correlation models it is found that there is an insignificant negative relationship between variables which are Capital employed and human capital with Operating expenses and sales growth. There were some limitations that faced us as which is that the sample is considered to be small so data will not be generalized on the population as well as, it was difficult to get the measures of intangible assets in the financial statements of the companies.Item Measuring parent’s perception of the improvements in the quality of governmental elementary and pre-elementary educational system in line with Egyptian vision 2030(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) El Rouby, Abdelfatah; Fekry, Alaa Osama; el shamy, Mahmoud; El-Sunki, Nuria Shukri; Hamza, Zainab KhaledIn Egypt’s vision 2030, education will be future oriented and visionary in the face of technological innovations and changes. The future developments of the political, social, cultural and economic sectors will depend on the contributions of the students of our schools today. Therefore, examining the state of the education sector is of great importance. There have been noticeable improvements in Egypt in some aspects of education, such as enrollment levels, way of teaching, curriculum, implementing technology and other changes, but the educational quality and perception of parents are questionable. Thus, this paper provides an overview on parent’s perception of the improvements in the quality of governmental educational system in line with Egyptian vision 2030. The analysis used is largely focused on the elementary and pre-elementary levels by conducting qualitative research in the exploratory research and quantitative research using self-administrated questionnaires. Pointed out that parents have a neutral perception of the changes undertaken and the educational quality affects parent’s perception and the most factor affecting parent’s perception is the qualification of teachers. The constrains of the research was due to geographical and time limitationItem Consumer’s Perception towards Persuasion Techniques & its Impact on Consumer-brand Relationship. Applied on: Adidas(October University of Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Hassanein, Mahmoud; Ranadan, Salema; Ahmed, SaraNowadays people tend to spend time shopping as a substitute to other hobbies and activities. During the shopping process people are exposed to hundreds and thousands of brands and all of them have their own selling strategies and techniques, the amount of ads, billboards, emails, offers and promotions consumers are exposed to makes most of the brands seem unnoticed to many consumers, therefore marketers started to advertise in a different way which is to focus on the motives on consumers and make the consumer feel incomplete without their products to create the need to make a purchase. Following the success of Mohamed Salah, Adidas chose Mohamed Salah because he is a role model to the next generation, and how big could they go. Adidas started putting Salah in advertisements, billboards; even releasing his own shoe line, the main goal behind this campaign was to promote Adidas’s products which surely have succeeded in Egypt and worldwide. Celebrity endorsement is a strategy used to enhance the brand image, and associate the brand with the figure’s personal image, which can either bring lots of success or backfire on the brand. The strategy we are focusing on in our study is persuasion techniques. Whether the seller is trying to persuade or manipulate depending on their beliefs whether consumers wants or needs their product. When the salesperson genuinely believes that the consumer needs it, their intentions are good. It can’t possibly be manipulation; it can be considered as persuading the consumer by the seller’s product rather than any other product. Mainly, manipulation is successfully influencing and changing consumer’s choice, however; the goal is the same whether the company is persuading or manipulating consumers, is to encourage and increase the purchase intention, the purchase intention is the willingness of a consumer to purchase a certain product, therefore, we intend to assess and study how the store atmosphere affects the consumer’s behavior towards purchasing.Item The effect of store layout and shelf-positioning on the purchase behavior of youth from both genders : An application on apparel stores(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Atef, Haidy; Tarek, Farah; Nabil Zaki, Farida; Hegazy, MennaStore layout is an important element in motivating consumer's response in retailing. The design of a retail store has been found to considerably influence a retailer's general presentation through its effect on information processing, purchase intents and attitude towards the retail institution. The retail setting is shifting more than ever before. It is regarded by the increasing rivalry and new refined and tough customers who have superior expectations associated to their buying experiences. It has been proved that shelf- spacing is a critical component in attracting customers to buy; therefore retailers tend to compete ferociously in order to get premium shelf position. Apparel stores that offer products for both males and females have a challenge, as in one hand they should know their consumers and recognize their preferences when they enter the store, also they have to understand what attracts each gender in terms of store layout, and on the other hand they should understand that every single product (ex. Pants, shirts, shoes, accessories,.. etc.) should be placed in a way that is appealing in order to urge the consumers to buy. This research will examine the different store layouts and shelf-spacing techniques and importance for retailers. In addition, this research will study the purchase intention and the purchase preferences of both males and females individually. Moreover, this research will observe the relationship between shelf-spacing and the purchase intention of males and females respectively.Item The impact of audit committee characteristics on firm performance and earning quality(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) Ashraf, Aya; Atef, Omneia; Mostafa, Heba; Shehab, KirollosThe current study examines the effect of audit committee characteristics on both firm performance and earning quality. A sample of 25 companies listed in Egyptian stock exchange (EGX 30) in 2016 and 2017 are used. Firm’s financial statements and board of directors’ reports are used to collect data from measuring variables. The descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation and regression analysis are used to test the research hypothesis. The study found that the size of audit committee has a significant negative impact on firm performance measured by ROA. However, it failed to find a significant effect for the other audit committee characteristics on firm performance & earnings qualityItem Real Estate Management System(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Mahmoud Ibrahim, MohamedMy Project is about real estate management system, to make it easier to the customer to find the real-estate he/she wants through this system and search for it easily, that when we use the technology to provide the real-estate services that will increase the customer satisfaction and will be more helpful. Moreover the project that the customer can create a requirement account and put his needs with the categories of the real-estate that he/she wants to help in the search, also they can search with the price, place, and type. Also with this account the customer can put information about the land or the property he/she will sell or rent and the number and start the customer to customer business. And that will be more helpful for the customer to get what he/she wants. The system will have a database of the decoration engineers that can search for them to get the nearest and most good one for the customer, and that will be helpful for the customer to make the decoration of his/her house. And if the customer needs to go direct to the real-estate companies with the updates offers and prices he/she can search for the companies and get all the prices and the newest offers. In my project, I used the object-oriented method to apply this opportunity by creating use case model, class model, sequence model and activity model. The use case model represents the actors that will use the system and services (which are defined requirements in the scope) they will use. The class model is a simulation of the reality when the user is performing the operations, which are services in the use case. The classes can be defined as components which collaborate with each other to make the operations in each class. Sequence model describes the interactions between classes in terms of an exchange of messages and replies. It's a good way to visualize the scenarios that can help in discovering the responsibilities a class may need to have in the process of modeling a new system. The last model is the activity model which shows the flow and the sequence of activities that users will perform in the system. This diagram will help the programmer in understanding the flow of processes and it will become easier to implement and develop the system.
