Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a complex disease of the whole joint. Herbal treatment may have a chondroprotective and therapeutic effects in OA. We investigated the mechanism of action of a new herbal formula prepared from equal proportions of ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) and turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) rhizomes cultivated in Egypt.
