Abstract

Artificial intelligence is algorithm development for machines that can process and analyze vast volumes of data, recognize relationships, recognize patterns, and based on that analysis call decisions or predictions based on computer models. Several industries and sectors have seen an increase in the use of artificial intelligence: agriculture finance, manufacturing, transportation, education, retail, and healthcare are just limited Artificial intelligence technology developments that are anticipated to have a big influence in the future on jobs for example, the agri-food industry is increasingly using artificial intelligent to provide more sustainable, efficient and effective products. With concrete examples, it could radically transform the agri-food industry in terms of food safety, crop tracking, precision agriculture, supply chain optimization, predictive analytics, food processing, nutrition quality, and nutrition management. This book chapter reveals that recent advances in artificial Inelegant have increased productivity, enhanced food safety, decreased waste, enhanced quality, and adapted to the food industry which led to summarizing the limitations, and potential applications of AI in the food sectors.
