Item 157 DETERMINANTS THAT IMPACT A DESTINATION IMAGE: APPLICATION ON EL GOUNA THE RECENTLY FOUNDED CONTEMPORARY RESORT CONURBATION IN EGYPT.(MSA-Management science journal, 2023) El Sheikh, Samia Adly Hanna; Soliman, Diana a.; Amer, Mariam AhmedThe purpose of this research paper is to investigate the factors influencing destination image as destination image is a major determinant that influences purchase decisions of going to a destination or not, either consciously or subconsciously. The authors investigate the factors impacting destination image application on El Gouna which is a recently founded touristic destination in Egypt well noted for its engaging events, stunning coral reefs, diverting beaches, lagoons, and a multitude of other alluring variables overlooking the Red Sea. The researchers proposed a conceptual model based on a thorough review of the literature. A non-probability convenience sampling technique was used to collect primary data. Data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Implications to further improve the perceived destination image include campaigns conducted by El Gouna managers and the relevant ministries and a suggested change in market prices of hotel brands functioning in El Gouna. A suggestion for further research is to conduct a comparative cross-cultural study to investigate if the studied factors also impact foreigners visiting El Gouna.Item ECONOMIC GROWTH, BILATERAL TRADE AND TRADE EMBODIED PM2.5 EMISSIONS IN INDIA AND BANGLADESH(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Khandelwal, Mansi; Das, Sukanya; Narayanan, BadriNot all that is produced is consumed by the country a major part of produced goods and services account for exports. In today’s world of globalization volumes of export and import are increasing and so is the emission from production and consumption. So, with exports and imports of goods and services, indirect emissions are also traded by being embodied in the goods and services. Production-based and consumption-based accounting approaches are two different approaches to measuring emissions produced. Using PBA, developed countries can transfer the burden of emissions to developing nations, but CBA measures the emissions based on consumption. The study investigates the impact of the rise in investment in India (and Bangladesh) on PM2.5 emissions being produced in Bangladesh (and India) via international trade and quantifies it. Bangladesh is about to graduate from LDC status, which means that high tariffs are being imposed on Bangladeshi goods, an attempt is made to study the impact of the rise in tariffs on PM2.5 emissions produced and quantifies the change. The results indicate that with tariffs being imposed emissions fall in the case of the EU, Japan, and Oceania but not true with the US. Some policy implications are suggested on the sameItem The Impact of Dollarization on the Agricultural and Industrial Sectors in the Egyptian Economy Post the 2011 Revolution(October university for modern sciences and Arts MSA, 2023-08) Azzam, Islam; Elghouty, Amal; El-Ahmar, Ahmed Adel; Yasser, Nouran; Nemr, NadraThis paper will shed light on the fluctuations that happened to the exchange rate in Egypt and from 2011post the 25th of January revolution until 2022. The great dependency on the dollar led to high increase in prices and rise in the inflation rates. In addition, this paper will analyse the impact of dollarization on the various sectors in the Egyptian economy, namely the agricultural and industrial sectors and display the dependency of those sectors on the value of the Dollar. The findings showed that the restrictions on imports raised the prices of imported raw materials and soil fertilizers, which caused shortages and increased the prices of both agricultural and industrial products.Item THE IMPACT OF MONETIZATION ON THE TUNISIAN ECONOMY USING A SIMPLE DSGE MODEL(MSA-Management science journal, 2023) Chaabane, Sarra Ben; Salem, Haykel HadjThe presence of money in the economy is mostly considered obvious. This paper investigates the effect of monetization on the Tunisian economy with a Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) model. The article also intends to show the main driving forces behind Tunisian business cycle and to understand how the productivity and monetary shocks impact and transmit into the Tunisian economy. Two Small Open Economy Neo-Keynesian (NK) models with price stickiness without and with money are carried out in this study. The results show that the supply shock has a positive effect on the macroeconomic variables. Nevertheless, the monetary shock has negatively affected the variables, especially the output, the capital and wagesItem MEASUREMENT OF EGYPTIAN PARENTS' PERCEPTION OF THE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE QUALITY OF THE GOVERNMENTAL ELEMENTARY & PRE-ELEMENTARY EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM(MSA-Management science journal, 2022) Sukkar, Amr; Fekry, Alaa OsamaThe aim of the paper is to investigate the parent’s perception of the improvements in the quality of the governmental educational system in line with Egyptian vision 2030, the analysis used is largely focused on the elementary and pre-elementary levels by conducting qualitative research in the exploratory research and quantitative research using self-administrated questionnaires. Based on survey data from 240 respondents, the results were analysed by the researchers via descriptive analysis. The existence of the relationship between variables was proven via the measuring of Spearman Correlation. The research indicated that there is a positive relationship between educational quality and parental perception of education. Also, there is a neutral perception of parents of the changes undertaken in governmental elementary and pre-elementary levels. Finally, the results indicated that curriculum doesn’t affect parents’ perception of educational quality more than any other changes, and the highest factor affecting the perception is the qualification of teachers. Based on the research findings, managerial implications and suggestions for further research are discussed.
