    First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the academic staff members that without whom the topic of adaptive reuse would not have been introduced to Arts & Design, a new challenge with new potentials that the external juries, doctors, and teaching assistants gave their genuine interest and dedication toward, and for also planning the talks and events in order to provide us with the most recent and updated trends currently happening in the interior design industry, I’m thankful for all the critiques, discussions and encouragement that highly helped shaping my thesis, it’s a pleasure to have had this opportunity to work under the guidance of such a professional, dedicated, and supportive academic staff. I would also like to show my gratitude to AL. Tarek Fouad for his intensive supervision through the semester, without his unconditional interest, support, and involvement two days through every week of the semester, my thesis wouldn’t have been of the same quality, I would also like to thank AL. Neveen Hadi for her support and inspiring discussions associated with my concept & design approach which exposed me to various methods and techniques that are beneficial for INTR406-Graduation Project II.     The child-friendly cities concept in China: A prototype case study of a migrant workers’ community

    The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) initiatives of Child- Friendly Cities have operated in more than 3000 cities around the world. However, the concept of making the city child-friendly has not been extensively recognized in China. This article aims to report a regeneration project in a migrant workers’ community, the Mingdong, and is used to illustrate the reactions of residents to youth participation (youth civic engagement) and the project through an international workshop. The article concludes with a discussion of how social workers help in the social development of migrant communities by promoting youth participation, community social awareness and social cohesiveness.

    The concept of city branding is an emerging trend in the field of graphic design and tourism. As per Egypt’s 2030 vision, I chose to work on the capital of Egypt, greater Cairo , offering a new take on the visual identity of greater Cairo. The concept was to create a unifying brand identity that works for the capital as it has diverse cultures and various governorates. the solution was using a dynamic identity that would be neutral to all cities yet give them a modern look. The colors were chosen upon the feel and the uniqueness of the governorate. choosing the dots to represent cities as it is a neutral element that represents all cultures, new and old

    The concept developed with the brand soul is that women are precious, in order transfer precious into visual elements, gems and gold are considered keywords that became the main inspiration behind the name of the brand lapis a dark blue gemstone. The logo is drawn as a gemstone with curved edges to be timeless and edgy and to present luxury with a modern tone and the l is wrapped around it with a delicate curve which is balanced with the curved logo. The campaign is created with the feel of floral and natural vibe to transfer the message of youth and natural beauty. the poster is created with the feel of nature to send a message about the importance of natural beauty that lapis has to offer
