Item Trajectory Planning for Autonomous Intersection Management(MSA, 2022) Hossam Alkady, Omar; Abdellatif Elshazly, MohamedAutonomous vehicles can encounter some difficult situations without the proper management of intersections, this happens due to the overwhelming number of vehicles trying to cross at the same time which leads to accidents. The objective of this project is to try to manage and control vehicles that are crossing an intersection to prevent collisions, this can happen by allowing an Autonomous Intersection Manager (AIM) to send a signal to each vehicle and will then decide based on the input data whether to allow the vehicle to pass or not [1]. There are many previously used technologies like Bluetooth which was introduced in 1998 as a method of wireless communication that is used in short-range applications, Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) which was used in intelligent transport systems (ITS) from the beginning of its development is another way to wirelessly transmit data in a medium range. Wi-Fi network which is another wireless communication method that started 1997 and was based on the IEEE 802.11 standard. This project will show how the proposed V2I system can be implemented to achieve the desired outcomes. After applying this system, the number of casualties due to car accidents should significantly decrease as a result of the continuous coordination provided by the AIM to the vehicles
