The Effect of Intellectual Capital on Firm Value and Financial Performance An Empirical Study on Companies List on Egyptian Stock Exchange

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of intellectual capital on firm value and financial performance. An Empirical analysis was applied on 23 Company Listed on Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX30) during the period from 2015 to 2021.The independent variable which is Intellectual capital was measured by MV equity minus BV equity. The dependent variables which are firm value measured by Tobins’Q and financial performance was measured by current ratio. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between intellectual capital and financial performance, while there is insignificant relationship between intellectual and firm value
