dc.description.abstract | In this paper, Wearable antenna for off- and on-body wireless communications is introduced. It introduces to operate at ISM band for medical applications and WLAN bands. The proposed antenna not only has a compact size but also it supports a low SAR radiation at the operating frequency 2.4 GHz. It consists of a meander line and an electromagnetic band gap structure (EBG). In order to cover the low frequency at 2.4 GHz, a meander line is utilized due to its compact size. The solution stems from the use of EBG structure which widens the band and to reduce the maximum SAR. The subject of human body–antenna interaction has also been studied. The operating bands ranges are (2.3-2.55 GHz), (3.1-3.3 GHz), (3.78-3.9 GHz), and (4.7-5.6 GHz). The antenna size is 23.5×30×1.2 mm3 . | en_US |
