In this chapter, we explore the phenomenon that occurs when combining two or more waves at one point in the same medium. This phenomenon is known as interference . We first combine waves having the same frequencies. Then we combine waves that have slightly different frequencies. In both cases we only consider waves with small amplitudes so that we can use the superposition principle.en_US
