dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of this study is to examine if the independent variable corporate social responsibility and the controlling variables firm size, return on assets, leverage and the age have any impact on corporate governance measured by board size, proportion of independent board member and proportion of woman board member. The sample consists of 21 companies listed in Egypt Stock Exchange (EGX) during the period 2014 to 2020. The empirical research brings out women percentage on board positive significant effect on corporate social responsibility. Also, by considering the firm size, return on assets, leverage and the age as controlling variables for our study it was found that it has a positive significant impact on corporate social responsibility.en_US
