Background: In reactive network, traditional network technique, user’s requests are served upon arrival. On the other hand, in proactive caching, network proactively predicts user’s requests and cashes them on user’s devices in preparation to offload cached contents to requesters. Availability of guaranteed and validated D2D communication links along with suitable caching policy execution can increase caching success probability and thus improve network effective performance. Methods: In this paper, an enhanced cache and delivery approach that considers users mobility as groups, user preference and cache memory size D2D cellular networks has been proposed. According to the mobility model, a demand profile is created according to user’s preference. Thereafter, an optimization problem is formulated to maximize network gain according to all users demand and mobility profiles and under constrains of Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) between D2D users and energy consumed to transmit required data. The FSABA is used to solve our optimization problem. Results: The simulation results showed that the network gain is enhanced by approx. 17 % and 57 % over random mobility and baseline scenario, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm efficiently decreases average transmission delay by at least 11.5 % from both random mobility and previously published technique in [21] . Finally, on average, the offloading probability is enhanced by 19 %. Conclusion: In this paper, an energy consumption and SNR aware-enhanced content caching and delivery technique for cache enabled wireless networks is introduced. The network optimization problem is addressed by introducing an incentive caching mechanism depending on both user preference and group mobility under SNR and energy consumption constrains due to D2D communication. The FSABA was used to optimize the network performance by controlling portions of files cached in users’ devices. The results showed that the DLR threshold can be adjusted to a certain range to enhance networks caching decision which leads to minimize network cost. Compared to both baseline scenario and random mobility-based algorithm, the performance is remarkably enhanced through the proposed caching approach, especially for small values of . The Frequency Searching Adaptive Bat Algorithm (FSABA) is used to enhance the performance of the D2D assisted wireless networks. It used to solve the optimization problem of minimizing the overall network cost by enhancing the cached and delivered contents using the D2D communicationsen_US
