An expose of the Air Force museum, and the various exhibits it features. Making it a live witness of the Egyptian history for grownups as much as for school students. Especially with all the workshops it offers. Summary: The Egyptian Armed Forces are among the world finest. Throughout history, Egyptian armies have managed to defeat all oppressors and in the modern times have helped neighboring countries win its freedom against occupation and participated in fighting terrorism. The Egyptian Air Force has significant role in most of the battles in participated in since its establishment in 1932. The Egyptian Air Force was almost completely destroyed in the Israeli aggression in 1967 but was quickly rebuilt and was the first branch in the armed forces to declare combat ready before 1973. During the Yum Kippur War, the Egyptian Air Force did a preemptive strike on the enemy’s positions and strongholds with more than 220 fighter and strike aircrafts as well as heavy bombers during the first few hours of the war. Victory in this war would never have been achieved without the air role. Recently, the Egyptian Armed Force has opened its museum, for both servicemen and civilians, to show its history and the equipment used in different periods. This museum holds great significance since it houses under its roof aircrafts and weapons from various time periods and various countries like the Soviet Union, China, France and the United States of America which is something cannot be so easily found. The Egyptian Air Force Museum is also considered among the biggest in the Middle East and Africa yet it is not so popular between people. The museum is trying its best to spread awareness and increase knowledge between people by several methods like summer camps for children, organizing school trips and advertising through social media. It should have more and more visitors and it should have more publicity and that was the main aim of this work.
