Item Antoniadis: Forsaken Treasures(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA ), 2019) Alaa, MohamedThe story of a palace that holds great history, yet is lost in the middle between all the entities responsible for it, leaving its beauty to survive the changes of time solely.Item “Eyes of Nabq” = عيون نبق(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Bastawisy, Yasmine AmrThe project is a documentary film under the name “Eyes of Nabq”. The documentary is simply showing the viewers the real lives of Bedouins in South Sini, Sharm El Sheikh in Nabq’s protected Area. The film is focusing on Bedouin girls who live in the protectorate, who are educated, work in fishing which is the same profession of Bedouin men there; and those Bedouin girls’ future plans and dreams. Why the film focused on those Bedouin girls? Well in fact the message of the documentary which is “Seeing is not believing”, is aiming to correct the stereotypes that the media has created throughout the years, about Bedouins being primitive, men are in control of women’s freedom, women not working and lack of gender equality. The documentary was filmed in January 2019 in Nabq’s protected area; where most of the film took place in the Fisher’s area or in El Gharkana, some shots were taken in Wadi khereiza which is also in Nabq and in Dahab to take the shots for the school. The project was fully filmed by one person who is me, as the project is an individual project and due also to that Bedouins in Nabq are not confident with having to many cameras and people filming them. Equipment used for the project were two cameras a full frame DSLR, a GoPro for the underwater footage, two mics which were a neck mic and another mic for recording natural sounds as well as a stabilizer for the DSLR camera. The documentary was filmed in December 2018 as well during the field research of the theoretical part of the project.Item قلعة النسور(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Abdelhameed, Eman MagdyAn expose of the Air Force museum, and the various exhibits it features. Making it a live witness of the Egyptian history for grownups as much as for school students. Especially with all the workshops it offers. Summary: The Egyptian Armed Forces are among the world finest. Throughout history, Egyptian armies have managed to defeat all oppressors and in the modern times have helped neighboring countries win its freedom against occupation and participated in fighting terrorism. The Egyptian Air Force has significant role in most of the battles in participated in since its establishment in 1932. The Egyptian Air Force was almost completely destroyed in the Israeli aggression in 1967 but was quickly rebuilt and was the first branch in the armed forces to declare combat ready before 1973. During the Yum Kippur War, the Egyptian Air Force did a preemptive strike on the enemy’s positions and strongholds with more than 220 fighter and strike aircrafts as well as heavy bombers during the first few hours of the war. Victory in this war would never have been achieved without the air role. Recently, the Egyptian Armed Force has opened its museum, for both servicemen and civilians, to show its history and the equipment used in different periods. This museum holds great significance since it houses under its roof aircrafts and weapons from various time periods and various countries like the Soviet Union, China, France and the United States of America which is something cannot be so easily found. The Egyptian Air Force Museum is also considered among the biggest in the Middle East and Africa yet it is not so popular between people. The museum is trying its best to spread awareness and increase knowledge between people by several methods like summer camps for children, organizing school trips and advertising through social media. It should have more and more visitors and it should have more publicity and that was the main aim of this work.Item مسافة السكة(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Eissa, Mai Mohamed Ahmed MohamedThis is a critical reflection paper on my graduation project documentary and I’ll use Gibbe’s model which is about applying 6 stages (description, feeling evaluation ,analysis, conclusion and action plan). My documentary “مسافه السكه” Is about the Delivery service in Egypt. The reason why of choosing that name for my documentary is that whenever we ask any delivery man “when will you arrive?” he replies on my way or as soon as the road takes time which is in arabic means “مسافه السكه”. The focus statement was “Delivery people in Egypt Especially who deliver with bicycles and motorcycles. pass through hardships to reach their destination, such as weather problems , traffic , lack of time with a lot of orders , and as consumers we just care for our stuff to be here on time. “ The reason why I chose this topic , is because that I never found anyone before in university discussing such a topic and not only university , but also between my friends and family! No one ever thought of how hard and risky this job is 6and that it needs so much effort ; In addition to that I wanted to show everyone the obstacles faced by the delivery men in order to deliver to us our orders while we are sitting in our homes without even moving. First I went to a a pharmacy, dry clean shop , and pastries shop in order to make one interview in each place with the delivery man working there. Also I made an interview with a wife of a delivery man in order to know from here also how this job affects her personally since the delivery man usually don’t have any time to even see his kids and sometimes he doesn’t take any holidays because his work.. Then I started to take shots using the go pro while the delivery men is delivering an order and walking with the cars and shots while they are taking the orders in boxes and so on.Item مجري والزمن بيجري(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Abd El Wahab, Fairouz Abd El Wahab MohamedA documentary that traces the historic changes of “Magra El Oyon” aqueduct, from serving its original purpose reaching all the way to a display space of leather products. The first women I shot with is a women working in a coffee shop her place at khan al Khalili. The second women is the one is driving a taxi at al-agouza street. The third one is a women who helps people to park their cars. The fourth one is a women who is working as a butcher at a poor village. Summary: Basically, the pre-production phase had begun when I was assigned to submit a shooting list that includes all the visual material that, supposedly, will be included in the documentary. Since the settled topic was reviewing Alexandria or another side of Alexandria through the eyes of artists, especially, poets. The topic had to be visually reflected as follows; casting the light on Alexandria’s fascination which had brought miscellaneous artists as well as ordinary people with various ethnicities and nationalities from the whole world to develop undescribed love and belongingness to the city; the feelings they’ve carried to the country will be reflected through the stories and narration of foreign residents, like Greeks, Italians, or Armenians, whom they are still living in Alexandria along with bunch of appealing sceneries for the city’s charm. In order to develop an initial vision of the documentary; I had to travel for location scouting and meetings with foreign residents living in Alexandria. In fact, I intended to visit almost all the old places and streets that are still upholding their vintage style; I took a stroll around the city’s downtown, where the streets’ nameplates, reflect a huge part of the rich history of the ancient city; additionally, I managed to visit various shops, cafes, and restaurants that are owned by Greeks, Italians, and Armenians. In hopes of reaching foreign residents; I managed to visit The Greek embassy, The Greek school, The Greek, Italian, and Armenian community clubs & churches, the Centre d’Etudes Alexandrines (CEAlex), or the Alexandria Center for Studies, along with Saint Catherine cathedral that serves as the main church for almost all the foreign Catholics who live in Alexandria.Item البر التاني(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Hatem, DahabA documentary that takes us on a trip into “Ezbet El Borg”; a self sufficient community, that lives on fishing. Featuring a life style where everyone serves a task, and all together create a model of cooperation for success. Summary: This critical reflection is made on the broadcasting graduation project which is a short documentary talking about Ezbet Al-borg (the tower estate) which is a city that is affiliated to the Damietta governorate, and it is located on the other side of Ras elbar city. Ezbet Al-borg (the tower estate) is known for the craft of fishing as the whole place is depending completely on this simple craft and it is the main source of living for the people of Ezbet Al-borg, and in this place fishing made other crafts appear like shipbuilding and the making of fish nets and most of the citizens in the place inherit the profession from their parents and grandparents so as a result everything they do in Ezbet Al-borg is related to fishing. The short documentary aim is to deliver a message that there are places that Egyptians don’t know about in Egypt that if people give them attention there will be a difference in our society. As people need to know that there are people who made their lives about a simple craft.Item understanding impacts of climate change in Egypt by emphasizing on sustainable solutions for the upper and middle classes(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Kirolos, Natalie Michel; Emad, Nada; Hazem, Nazly; Ali, Mennaallah Hanyfor the following campaign created in purpose of spreading awareness towards the consequences of climate change titled as “understanding impacts of climate change in Egypt by emphasizing on sustainable solutions for the upper and middle classes” with the campaign’s objective to spread awareness and educate both the upper and middle classes of the impacts and consequences of climate change phenomenon since the phenomenon has been existing for many years, it’s an important subject that people around the world cannot stop discussing in which there are those who believe that humans should take steps in order to stop the impacts of climate change from happening and others who deny the idea even exists in which people think climate change is a hoax often pointing out the lack of evidence and proof that the climate has changed, therefore, this paper aims to discuss the information needed to understand climate change phenomenon and the importance of contributing to the cause through using renewable energies (e.g. solar energy) and with the above factors taken into consideration, the main objective of this campaign is to spread the awareness needed and educate the public about the existence of the phenomenon within the Egyptian society since most of them lack awareness and maintain a negative attitude towards the phenomenon as well as pushing them to believe their contribution would make a difference for the environment in which the campaign will tackle the better alternatives and the easiest possible ways to contribute without making efforts or spending money, in addition to making them believe that relying on non-renewable resources (e.g. fossil fuels) is ineffective on the long- term as according to Energypedia (2018) non-renewable resources are more at risk of running-out as they are limited resources as well as leading to negative environmental outcomes such as; air pollution and the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the earth’s atmosphere unlike renewable energies (e.g. hydroelectric energy) that provides endless supplies of energies (Chowdhury, Uddin, and Saleh, 2014). hence, this campaign as follows focuses more on reviewing the consequences that are related to climate change phenomenon and the main effects of climate change on the environment will be presented in this paper. Also, the campaign aims to present an overview of the trend of climate change issue from an environmental perspective since the main objective of this paper is to analyze the history of the gradual manifestation of climate change and state potential adaptations, therefore, the campaign basically aims to increase general public awareness as unfortunately in Egypt, the public’s negative attitudes towards the climate change phenomenon have increased drastically as they lack awareness of what climate change means and its effects and this kind of attitude is globally recognized as one of the main reasons as to why climate change dangers increases, furthermore, it will further shed light on how climate change is perceived, therefore, developing an awareness campaign on climate change can lead to immense contributions in reducing climate change effects and adapt efficiently, this campaign also aims for behavioral changes without affecting people’s everyday lives through presenting them other alternatives such as using renewable energies instead of non-renewable energies, therefore, the campaign is a mixture of consultation of; energy efficiency and sustainability measures that will increase the general level of awareness of the public, therefore the campaign addresses adults in order to aware, inform, and involve them in the provisional of adapting to climate change in order to achieve long- termItem The treasure(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Asar, Mostafa Mahmoud Abd El Fadilaking a trip back in time to the ancient Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and how it survived the challenge of time, only to prosper beyond being a historic library.Item The Prevalence of Bullying Among Teenagers in Private Schools : The Together Against Bullying Compaign for Victim Empowermrnt in Egypt(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2019) Nabel, Amena; Amer, Yara; Mohsen, Ruba; Mohammed, TouqaThe purpose of this study is to develop a campaign against bullying. Many researches have been collected in the primary research that has included the causes and effects of bullying, types of bullying, and the reasons to why bystanders of bullying stay silent. In addition, several campaigns have been examined in order to determine the limitations of each and develop a campaign that defies every limitation. The purpose of this campaign is to empower victims of bullying to speak up against any act of bullying they encounter. Basically, bullying is aggression, and aggression occurs under certain circumstances. It only occurs whenever there is an imbalance of power between two people. It happens when the person who acts aggressively is more powerful than the person they are inflicting their aggression upon. So here, there is an imbalance of power between the perpetrator of bullying and the bullied victim. The bully may be more powerful physically, verbally, or might be more socially skilled, which allows him to hurt others through any type of bullying. Therefore, the purpose of the campaign is to balance this power in order for bullying to stop and make victims aware that they are strong indeed and they can overcome bullying. This campaign is not only done with an academic perspective, but also with a humane point of view because there is hope that someday bullying will stop, or at least the rates would be minimal.Item The pink support(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) Elhefnawy, Nouran Amr AminThis experience is about Bekia, a group of youth who are willing to change Egyptian habit of mixing all types of waste, without understanding the problematic results, which they are complained from. Pre-production considers an important step for documentary, which went well, as I’ve contacted with the CEO before the beginning of the semester to make sure that everything is settled. I met Mohamed Zohdy to tell him about the shooting process and had again a long discussion about bekia, and took an appointment to start recording and shooting their process. In the production stage, I had many problems due to could delay of the conducted date for about three times. At this time, I was afraid from not being able to finish the project because I was too late from starting the process. Then, we could conduct suitable two days for shooting, but I wanted to shoot with clients, no one accepted. I wanted to present both sides, clients of bekia and people who aren’t making process of sorting waste. I asked her for recording voice instead of shooting to feel more secured. The main problem revolves around shooting, different angles and movements, because I don’t have the ability to rent or buy additional equipment above camera, mic and tripod. Besides, shooting alone with one camera, results lack of diversification in angels and low of third, concentrate in every single detail with tension of being under pressure to finish in specific time, or day because they don’t have enough time and I couldn’t shoot with bekia more than two times due to their work condition. The main sequence was hard to be discussed what shape or story line it should take. Also, learning new transitions and editing ways took a lot of time to be familiar with.Item St. Catherin(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) Askar, Nadim AshrafA documentary that depicts the community and lifestyle of “St. Catherine”, going beyond the renowned mount. So I didn’t lose hope and kept searching for another visually impaired people, but no one responded, they were helpless and no one wants to shoot with me, after one month of failing and losing hope in finding someone to shoot with, I reached a blind person called Hussein, we have common friends so they introduced him to me, finally Hussein was a helpful person who is graduated from political science in the British university in Egypt, he is an artist who plays saxophone, drums and piano, also he is teaching vocal in Finoon arts center in New Cairo, he loves music because it's his passion and language in expressing himself to other people, so he gave me hope and made me excited to make my documentary about him because he is so helpful, talented and optimistic person. In the first day I shoot him ordering uber scooter in front his home in Korba city until he reached Finoon arts center, then I documented him while giving vocal class for his students, in the second day I made an interview with him in his house, after that we managed to shoot in Alexandria in front of the beautiful sea, so we travelled there and I documented him while he was playing saxophone, and made a small interview there, he was talking about the music.Item IMC Campaign Aiming to Change Violent Behavior Among B Class Young Adults in Egypt(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) Osama, Salma; Abdelsamei, Hebatallah; El-Ogail, Haya Hossam Radwan; Abdel Karim, YasmeenViolence as a worldwide issue, is considered to be a large phenomenon nowadays as it is influenced culturally through the evolvement of both principles and social norms. It was also indicated that there are distinctive factors such as damage in society, and cultural impact that can act as the core aim behind the development of both basis and collective norms that triggers violence (WHO, 2002). Moreover, there was another essential implication to be specified is that violence falls in four diverse types which are physical, sexual, intellectual and feeling of disregarding. For this reason, it was mentioned by Krantz & Garcia-Moreno (2005) that these performances effects negatively as certain outcomes such as making suicidal action, and even self-preservation which as a matter of fact can have damaging effect on partner’s societal, political or economical issues. According to Krug (2002), violence was defined as the purposeful use of physical power, threatening against oneself or another person, or against a community that either effects a high probability of consequences or causing in damage, death, mental harm, and several deficiencies. It was mentioned by WHO (2002) that violence against females is extensively widespread across high-, middle- and low–income nations. Current global occurrence specifies that about (35%) of females internationally have gone through either physical or sexual violence in their lifetime or even with their belonged ones (as cited in Duvvury et al, 2015). Another essential aspect to be mentioned is that the majority of violence behavior was manipulated by the wife’s husband in Egypt which shoes that violence acts as a phenomenon in most Egyptian families (Duvvury et al, 2015). As a matter of fact, these violence behaviors lead to 86% of psychological problems within women which resulted to negative consequences in the future as they will treat their children and even their surroundings with discomfort. It was mentioned by Emry (2006) that as an outcome of marital violence on kids, it may be imitated on their performance such as sadness and distress. Moreover, to emerging a more forceful behavior (as cited in Duvvury et al, 2015). Consequently, it was proven in more depth that certain interactive consequences occur which effects both long and short-term. It was also shown that extra 300,000 families that consisted of 74.2 % have kids that experienced from hallucinations and fear as a consequence of marital violence in the previous year. As an impact, it was shown that 110,000 families that consisted of 24.7 % have kids became more forceful throughout previous year. As the issue of violence have always been available in Egyptian society, it has impacted negatively on the behaviors of individuals and even on their daily routine which as a matter of fact shows how violence is mostly utilized as a tool to solve problems instead of thinking rationally towards the situation that is presented. Moreover, violence has been contributed in Egyptian streets and even in society as a whole, therefore; this issue is essential to be tackled in depth in order to know and be acknowledged of the reasons behind such an action. In addition to, this issue is harmful to society which therefore should be tackled in depth to prevent any further incidents or problematic consequences. Through conducting this research, it aims to facilitate and examine the core effects that was the reason behind the whole issue towards violence between individuals and even their surroundings including their family members and their beloved ones. As a result, by examining the issue of violence through two research methods which are by primary and secondary research it will contribute positively as new ideas and ideologies will be stated. By doing these strategies, it will make the audience reach successful results that will later on benefit the overall campaign purpose and goal. Taking into consideration, there should be reasons focusing on the issue in details to figure out the causes that leads to huge consequences of violence behavior. Hence, by choosing this specific topic for the graduation project was to show to the audience how we should tackle and solve such an issue as it is considered to be a phenomenon that is spread in many people’s lives nowadays.Item IMC Awareness Campaign about the protection methods of Children’s technology Addiction(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) Ahmed, Eyad Omar; AbouHashish, Mariam Ahmed; Aly, Nariman; Okab, RoySimilar to globalization and urbanization, the introduction of digitalization has substantially affected and altered the world today. The intensive proliferation of technology has become an irresistible dynamic, affecting virtually every aspect of the world, ranging from economies, societies and cultures as well as influencing the daily lives of individuals. Children are a not an exception as since the day a child is born, they are immersed in a continuous cycle of digital communication ranging from the manner their health care is managed until their photographs which are posted online on social media platforms to share memorable moments with friends and family. Hence, the more children develop in age; the capability of technology to influence their life will also develop. Moreover, the introduction of technological devices and virtual interaction correspondingly imposes evident dangers to the safety, confidentiality and overall welfare of children as well as increases the effects and harmful situations that the majority of children encounter offline and causes already existing susceptible youngsters to become more susceptible. Although information communication technology has eased the opportunity of distributing knowledge and collaborations with other people, it has also eased the opportunity to conduct and share sexual content and illegal material that harms and effects children negatively. Moreover, technology has increased the opportunity of child trafficking and triggered innovative ways in hiding such actions from the government and law. Furthermore, technology has caused the process of obtaining unsuitable content to be much easier and more surprisingly has caused children to conduct improper content on their own. Also, technology has initiated a new medium for children to be bullied; however, now on a much wider scale and hence causes increased negative effects. Furthermore, the online atmosphere and virtual entertainment applications have increased the creativity as well as the children’s opportunity to reach fulfilling content; however, it has also implied the aspect of screen addiction as well as digital dependency. Moreover, these platforms have increased the chance for children to express themselves and thoughts in a free manner; on the other hand, has also increased the circulation of negative speech and ideas that can affect how children encounter and deal with the surrounding environment. Certain effects that arise from the concept of digitalization are not agreed upon by all the people; however due to the rapid expansion in the industry of technology and the increased threats that arise on children there should be increased efforts to maintain the protection of children from the disadvantages of a world that is more virtually connected. There should be increased efforts from governments, global organizations, societies, families as well as children to prevent or decrease the effects of technology.Item Hocus pocus(October university for modern sciences and arts, 2019) Mahgob, Yousef Amr Hanafi MahmoudThe thought came to me when I was watching recordings on YouTube discussing paranoid notions and how they are made and how individuals think of these speculations. The YouTuber who did this arrangement is called Shane Dawson, he is one of the greatest YouTubers on the stage and he has been doing this arrangement for two or three years now. He was discussing that there were no planes in 9/11 and that was only a phony story as he demonstrated some proof for his hypothesis. This made me consider these accounts that we additionally make here in Egypt and we trust it particularly as we think about some of it as truth. A portion of these accounts were loathsomeness stories and I couldn't fold my head over why we make up stories that makes us apprehensive and for what reason do we trust them. This activated me to propose the plan to the specialist and begin hunting down those accounts and attempt to know reality behind them. A portion of these accounts were crazy and doesn't bode well and some were exceptionally terrifying. Some may return to the Ancient Egypt time and some are present day and recently made. In any case, the shared belief between every one of the tales were that every one of them had something you can't accept. As though they were altogether made up and not genuine.
