Abstract

In this paper, the transmission performance of the downlink of linearly precodied multi-user multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) systems is investigated. The zero forcing (ZF), regularized ZF (RZF) and minimum mean squared error (MMSE) precoding schemes are considered, and the bit error rate (BER) is adopted as the performance metric of interest. Simulation results indicate that, an adequate BER performance is achieved by the proper control of the design parameters of RZF precoding. Moreover, a relationship between the number of users' antennas and the BS is observed, such that an adequate BER performance is achieved. 2019 IEEE.
