dc.description.abstract | When trainee teachers complete their pre-service programs and no longer receive the guidance of their trainer, they are faced with the real life experience of being a novice teacher in a classroom with no guidance which, in turn, creates considerable challenges that they face. This research paper aims at investigating the challenges faced by novice EFL teachers in their early years in the teaching field and whether the teachers who work in the international section face the same challenges of those who work in the national section or not. This study will make use of online questionnaire as its mean of research. This questionnaire consists of 9 multiple choice question carefully designed to gather the required data from a random sample of 24 EFL teachers from the international and national section. An analysis of the questionnaire has revealed that 1. The challenges faced by most teachers are classroom management, lack of technological facilities and addressing distinctive student needs. 2.
