Emotion Recognition System

Abstract

Facial Expressions play an important role in the way humans communicate and interact with each other. Where facial expressions are very important tool in behavioral study in learning the meaning of the multiple face expressions that can be used to detect a mood of a specific person, where this method can develop a well understanding conversation between two persons. Understanding a person’s feelings without talking and recognizing his feelings can be very useful for humanity and save a lot of time and effort, also it can be very useful in multiple fields as communicating or in marketing methods where it can be used widely. This work proposes a system that can detect emotions from the facial expressions in the static images where this system uses image processing for identify and classify one of the universal emotions which are Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, Surprise and Fear in those images.
