Abstract

A 40 year old patient with bad oral hygiene and severely destructed teeth complained from pain and loss of function and esthetics. The case was challenging from the very beginning due to the periodontal condition which resulted in severe bone loss especially in the upper posterior area bilaterally. After a thorough periodontal assessment and reviewing the CBCT, the hopeless and diseased teeth were removed and a strict oral hygiene regimen was followed to turn the patient into a stable periodontal condition. Restoration of decayed teeth and replacement of the missing ones followed the stabilization of the periodontium. The outcome exceeded the expectations. The treatment improved the patient's quality of life psychologically and functionally.
