Abstract
The Internet world began to be strange and complex, but with remarkable
development and after it became an important part of people's phones, some went on to
consider it a real world and many believe that they cannot live without it. After the year
2000, the Internet infrastructure became almost constant. The development became more
evident in the level of software and services provided by the Internet, which developed the
fixed internet pages into dynamic pages based on different programming languages, which
paved the way for the emergence of a new generation of Internet services and social
networking sites such as Facebook Twitter and Google Plus. Social media technology
includes forums, blogs, social networks, photo sharing, video blogs, and sharing of music
and voice over IP, to name a few. Social networks can link many of the programs used.
Hence, there are some challenges, namely, the use of social networks to enhance the
educational process. This paper aims to identify the shortage of various social networks,
including Facebook in the educational process, and as a mechanism for educational
communication between teachers and students. These networks by students make
professors in different universities and even in educational institutions in different stages of
education are seriously considering adopting a new type of distance education by
establishing a new generation of social networking platforms and its main purpose in
enhancing the educational process and increasing the effectiveness of this education and to
strengthen the link between them and their students.
