    Smart Sheltering System
(October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, 2024) Walid Abdelsalam, Waad; Yasser Ibrahim, Moaz; Oualim, Abdellah
The smart sheltering system enhances animal welfare and modernizes pet care by replacing traditional methods with advanced, computer-based architecture through a web-based interface. This platform enables pet owners and healthcare providers to collaborate effectively, leveraging a wide array of services such as health monitoring, location tracking, and veterinary support. Through utilizing new-age technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), the system integrates biometric sensors—including electrocardiogram (ECG), photoplethysmography (PPG), temperature sensors, and GPS trackers—to provide continuous monitoring and real-time data. These features facilitate early detection of health issues, ensuring timely interventions and preventive care. Furthermore, the smart sheltering system’s GPS tracking offers real-time location updates and geofencing alerts, enhancing pet safety. It also streamlines processes such as appointment scheduling and case analysis, providing a comprehensive, user-friendly ecosystem. This holistic approach not only improves communication and collaboration between pet owners and veterinarians but also ensures that pets receive optimal care, leveraging the latest digital and IoT advancements for enhanced health outcomes and convenience
