Item Impact of Labor Mobility on Economic Growth: A Comparative Study between Egypt and Vietnam(BIQ- BYWORD, 2021-08) Salman, Doaa MThis paper will discuss how labor mobility accelerates economic growth based on a comparative study between Egypt and Vietnam during the period of 2009 to 2019 from the Index of Economic Freedom. This paper is based on analyzing the four main pillars of economic freedom. Using the Heritage Foundation to assess the labor mobility in both Egypt and Vietnam, both countries were considered as mostly unfree with an overall score of 52.5% with a world rank of 144 and an overall score of 55.3% with a world rank of 128, respectively. Lastly, this paper will investigate, propose, and recommend ways for Vietnam and Egypt to accelerate their growths via restructuring the labor market during the period of 2008 till 2018.Item Linking Entrepreneurship and total factor productivity What are the economic setting required?(politic and economic development, 2011-03) Salman, Doaa M; Badr, KarimThis paper attempts to fill this gap by highlighting the linkage between entrepreneur, total factor productivity and growths. This paper addresses the correlation between innovative entrepreneurs and total factor productivity growth. Moreover, this research aims at determining the economic settings and institutions that are correlated with higher impact of entrepreneurship on productivity. Results showed that total factor productivity is significant and positively correlated with entrepreneurship; albeit somewhat lower when OLS estimation techniques are used, suggesting that there is a positive relationship between research and development, tertiary school enrolment, imports and inflation. Moreover, it is negatively correlated with imports. Entrepreneurship is one instrument that may add to the effect of knowledge investments through R&D. This is certainly consistent with the recent statistical, systematic empirical evidence linking measures of entrepreneurship to economic growth. Implementing different regression techniques we find surprisingly robust support for entrepreneurship being one important source of growth.Item THE ROLE OF EGYPTIAN FEMALE ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE DIGITAL ERA POST-COVID-19(European Institute of the Mediterranean, 2022-05) Salman, Doaa MThe current “cloud revolution” acceler- ates the digitalisation of economies as it expands business opportunities, thus boosting the economy and enhancing business activities. There were more unemployed females than males, and the female participation rate was lower than for males.
