Data were gathered using a face-to-face survey of 80 teaching staff members at three Egyptian universities. Findings revealed positive relationships between perceptions of equity, where a "motivator" was the outcome in the comparison, and job satisfaction. The study also revealed that there was no relationship between perceptions of equity and job satisfaction where a "hygiene factor" was the outcome in the comparison. This study is exploratory and findings are not conclusive. Its implications and limitations are discussed.enORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENTHERZBERGS THEORYEMPIRICAL-TESTThe Relationship between Employee Perceptions of Equity and Job Satisfaction in the Egyptian Private UniversitiesBook chapter
