Three different types of superstrates, viz., split ring resonator (SRR), S-shape, and cubic high dielectric resonator (CHDR) are discussed. The metamaterial structure is used as a lens to improve the directivity of DRA and the corrugated ground to suppress back lobes. 2017 IEEE.EnglishOctober University for Modern Sciences and ArtsUniversity for Modern Sciences and ArtsMSA Universityجامعة أكتوبر للعلوم الحديثة والآدابCorrugated Ground PlaneDielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA)Directivity EnhancementMetamaterialsCylindrical antennasDielectric devicesDielectric resonatorsMetamaterial antennasMetamaterialsMicrowave antennasResonatorsRing gagesSlot antennasBack lobesCylindrical dielectric resonator antennasDielectric resonator antennasDirectivity enhancementGround planesMetamaterial structuresSplit-ring resonators (SRR)SuperstratesAntenna groundsA dielectric resonator antenna over corrugated ground plane with metallic and nonmetallic metamaterial superstratesConference Paperhttps://doi.org/10.23919/EuCAP.2017.7928201
